This is what BlackBerry’s next smartphone could look like

BlackBerry is slowly making a comeback. After the questionable PRIV, the company made a hit with the KEYone which, despite its mid-range processor, was generally well received. Now, the company’s got another Android handset that’s ready for primetime, though, it does seem to have more in common with the company’s DTEK50 and DTEK60.

Yeap, there’s no keyboard. And it’s called the BlackBerry Motion.

Still, I have to say that it looks pretty good. From what we can tell, it looks like there might be a home button/fingerprint scanner tucked under the logo in front. Around, you’ll find your usual volume rocker and power button plus a third button that should be BlackBerry’s convenience key. I do like that it appears to have a different texture than the rest, though.

Besides that, it looks like BlackBerry isn’t breaking up with the 3.5mm headphone jack, like Google did, and there also appears to be a USB-C port with a speaker grille to its right.

This photo comes courtesy of everyone’s favourite leaker Evan Blass (@evleaks) though he did not mention specific specs. What he did say, was this:

In any case, according to CrackBerry, the smartphone is rumoured to feature a Snapdragon 625 processor (or 626) 4GB of RAM. In front, it’s supposed to feature a Full HD 1920×1080 pixel display and it is also rumoured to have a 4,000 mAh battery to keep it running. Interestingly, CrackBerry also says that the smartphone will have IP67 dust and water resistant which is a first for BlackBerry.

Either way, these are just rumours so take it with a grain of salt. What do you think of the BlackBerry Motion? Let me know in the comments below.
