This is the Huawei Mate 10 Pro

The Huawei Mate 10 and its higher spec Mate 10 Pro will be announced in less than 3 weeks from now. If you’re eager to see what the best of Huawei’s flagship would look like, we’ve finally gotten a peek thanks to famous leakster @evleaks.

As expected, the Mate 10 Pro gets an 18:9 Full View display which dominates the whole front. From the looks of it, the Mate 10 Pro will have its fingerprint sensor at the rear while the standard Mate 10 retains a front-facing fingerprint sensor underneath the display. To show that this smartphone is an AI driven machine, you can see the word “AI” written prominently on its wallpaper.

Looking at the back, the design is similar to the first leaked 3D render. To stand out, the Mate 10 Pro has a light colour band design running through the middle of the phone where the dual-cameras, laser AF and LED flash are located. Looking at the reflection at the top, it looks like the Mate 10 Pro will use glass instead of metal for its back.

Since photography is one of Huawei’s key focus, the rear still gets a dual-camera setup that’s co-engineered with Leica. Taking a closer look, you’ll notice that it uses SUMMILUX-H lens similar to the Huawei P10 Plus but it has a bigger aperture of f/1.6.

So far this confirms what we’ve seen in the alleged leaked promo materials which also indicate that the Mate 10 series will have IP67 water resistance. So what do you think of the Huawei Mate 10 Pro? Let us know in the comments below.

The Huawei Mate 10 is launching on 16 October and we expect Huawei to release it in Malaysia shortly after its global debut.
