This is Huawei’s answer to the iPhone X

After the launch of the iPhone 8 and iPhone X, the next flagship to look forward to is Huawei with its upcoming Mate 10 series. Like the current crop of flagship smartphones, it will feature an all screen display and Huawei believes it is the device worth waiting for.

With about a month away to its official unveiling, a clear photo of the Huawei Mate 10 has surfaced online thanks to a tip to @evleaks.

Looking at the image below, it does match the renders we saw earlier. The screen stretches end to end but it has enough forehead and chin to house the necessary front camera and a fingerprint sensor.

Like the Huawei P10, we reckon the fingerprint sensor also comes with gesture controls where you can view recent apps or go back with a simple swipe. The screen is speculated to be 5.99 inches which is quite similar to the Nova 2i. Unlike Samsung’s Galaxy S8 and LG G6, the Mate 10’s screen doesn’t have rounded-corners and it gets a full display without any black notches.

Under the hood, the Mate 10 will be powered by their top of the line Kirin 970 chipset that comes with a dedicated Neural Processing Unit. You can also expect a dual-camera setup that is co-engineered by Leica at the rear.

All shall be revealed on 16 October 2017 and we expect more leaks to appear as we get closer to its official launch date. What do you think of the Huawei Mate 10 design? Let us know in the comments below.
