redONE prepaid now offers 19GB of high-speed LTE data for RM50/month

When redONE introduced its prepaid plan last year, it offered a long 30 days validity period with a RM10 top up. With more prepaid plans in the market offering more data, redONE has revamped its offering that now offers as much as 19.5GB of high-speed 4G LTE data for RM50/month. That’s almost double of what you get on other prepaid.

This bulk data comes from a combination of reload bonuses and activation of data plans. Each starter pack is preloaded with 500MB of high-speed data and 1GB of basic internet. This same entitlement will be given to you every 1st of each month as long as you’re an active user.

By topping up RM50, you automatically get 9GB of data and you can use that RM50 credit to purchase another 10GB that’s valid for 30 days.

Of course, what’s the catch? For the reload bonus, it’s free daily data similar to Hotlink’s Happy Hour and Digi’s biGBonus. So this 9GB is basically 300MB per day but the good news is that you can utilise this data throughout the day from 12:00AM midnight to 11:59PM.

If you top up RM10, you’ll get 1GB which is split at 100MB for 10 days. RM20 gives you a total of 4GB which is given out at 200MB/day for 20 days. If you top up RM30 and above, you’ll get 9GB each month (300MB/day).

In terms of actual data plans, there are only 4 options. You can get 1GB for 1 day at RM3 or 2GB/week at RM10. For monthly usage, you have a choice of RM30 for 5GB and RM50 for 10GB.

As a redONE Prepaid subscriber, you can get unlimited free calls within redONE Prepaid users. For voice calls to other networks including redONE postpaid, they charge 16 sen/minute. SMS is 5 sen each to redONE and Celcom users or 10 sen each to other networks.

Take note that you’ll get 1GB of basic internet (throttled at 64kbps) each month which is utilised after you’ve finished using your high-speed quota. After you’ve depleted this, redONE charges a pay per use rate of 1 sen per 200KB.
