Xperia L1: Sony Malaysia’s newest smartphone under RM800

Announced earlier this year, Sony Mobile’s budget Xperia L1 is finally available in Malaysia. With consumers getting spoiled for choice under RM1,200, Sony Mobile thinks it may have a chance with its distinctive Xperia design.

The Xperia L1 is a 5.5″ smartphone that features a modest HD 720p resolution. Being a budget device, it runs on a Quad-Core 1.4GHz MediaTek MT6736T processor that’s mated to 2GB of RAM and has 16GB of expandable storage. For capturing moments, the Xperia L1 gets a 13MP f/2.2 camera at the rear while the front comes with a 5MP f/2.2 selfie camera. Keeping this budget device running is a 2,620mAh battery which charges via USB Type-C.

The Xperia L1 for Malaysia is a dual-SIM model and out of the box, it runs on Android 7.0 Nougat. Colour wise, it is available in Black, White and Pink. If you’re interested, you can get it online on Lazada Malaysia.
