A Malaysian just bought a RM39,999 gaming laptop

How much would you spend to fulfill your desire for the ultimate gaming experience? Remember that insane Acer Predator 21 X which costs more than a car? Acer Malaysia has just sold one unit today.

The proud owner of this gaming beast is Arsyan Ismail and he had just collected his gaming machine today. In case you’re wondering, the Acer Predator 21 X is retailing at a whopping RM39,999.

First announced during IFA 2016, it’s a showcase of what Acer can do when they go completely nuts. It has a 21″ curved 120Hz screen pushing 2560×1080 resolution. Under the hood, it gets an overclockable Intel Core i7-7820HK processor, a pair of NVIDIA GTX 1080s in SLI, 64GB of RAM and two 512GB PCIe NVMe SSDs in RAID 0 configuration.

It even gets a full sized Cherry MX Brown mechanical keyboard that comes with a hot-swappable trackpad. For awesome sound, it has 6-speakers (4 speakers + 2 woofers) for a more desktop-like gaming experience. The gaming laptop itself weighs 8kg and it even comes with a tough looking Pelican case for ease of transport. You can learn more in our Predator 21 X unboxing post.

There are only 300 units worldwide and he was lucky enough to get a cool limited edition number – 1 / 300.
