Huawei teases Leica Dual-Camera in its first Mate 10 video

Just days before Samsung announces the Galaxy Note8, Huawei has just released its first teaser video for its upcoming Mate 10. The video emphasises Huawei’s continued partnership with Leica and they will definitely featurer two cameras instead of one.

Watching the video above, it showcases random shots while mentioning “See more”, “more sharpness” and “more movement”. It is still vague at this point but could “See More” mean a wide-angle lens or possibly capturing more details in low light? There are two instances where the rear of a phone is being shown but if we take a closer look, it looks like a Mate 9 which comes with a 20MP monochrome and a 12MP RGB sensor.

We believe this might not be the actual Huawei Mate 10 since it still carries a SUMMARIT-H f/2.2 lens that was first introduced on the older Huawei P9. As a comparison, the latest Huawei P10 Plus carries a higher-grade SUMMILUX-H f/1.8 lens.

The Huawei Mate 10 will be revealed on 16 October 2017 in Munich. In case you missed it, you can check out our post on what to expect from Huawei’s upcoming flagship phablet.
