During the launch of the ZenFone 4, ASUS has also introduced a 360 camera which can you can hook up onto your existing smartphone. It’s called the ASUS 360 camera and it’s slightly smaller than a ping pong ball.
At first glance, it looks like the honor VR camera which is currently available at RM599. It supports both Type-C and micro-USB which can be attached to your phone with an interchangeable adapter.
The 360 camera comes with two fish-eye lenses with a 210-degree wide angle view. It supports 2K (2048×1040) video recording as well as 4K (4096×2048) photos. Using the ASUS 360 app, the camera supports multiple modes including asteroid, fisheye, panorama and VR mode. Like the honor VR, it also supports live streaming in 360 format.
It will be available in Taiwan sometime in September at 4,000TWD which is about RM567. No news yet for Malaysia but we are told that ASUS is trying to bring the 360 camera into our local market.
