Samsung Galaxy S7 edge with 128GB storage now selling for less than RM2,500

The Samsung Galaxy S8 is getting more affordable in Malaysia but if you’re looking for an alternative, here’s another device to consider. Last year’s Galaxy S7 edge with more storage and a larger capacity battery is now going for less than RM2,500. This is the 128GB model which comes only in Pearl Black.

Originally priced at RM3,399, the Galaxy S7 edge 128GB in Black Pearl is now selling for RM2,599 by DirectD. If you’re looking for an offer that’s even more affordable, the same device is going for RM2,499 on Lazada. These are original Samsung Malaysia sets that comes with 1 year official Malaysia warranty.

To recap on the specs, the Galaxy S7 edge features a dual-curved 5.5″ Super AMOLED display and it runs on an Exynos 8890 Octa-Core processor with 4GB of RAM. If the 128GB storage isn’t enough, you can expand further via microSD.

For imaging, it gets a 12MP f/1.7 dual-pixel main camera and a front facing 5MP f/1.7 selfie shooter. The battery is still one of the biggest on a Samsung flagship with a 3,600mAh unit which supports Adaptive Fast Charging via microUSB. The Galaxy S7 edge also supports Samsung Pay and has IP68 dust and water resistance. Also not forgetting is the fingerprint sensor which is still located on the front physical home button.

If you’re looking for something newer, the Galaxy S8 is now going for as low as RM2,598 while the bigger Galaxy S8+ can be yours for under RM3,000. If you can wait, there’s the upcoming Galaxy Note8 that’s launching in two weeks time.
