iPhone 8 will definitely get an all-screen display

The iPhone is always recognisable with its iconic candy bar form factor and that familiar round button. Even with the removal of its mechanical home key, the iPhone 7 still looks pretty much the same as its predecessors.

For the next iPhone, Apple appears to be starting off with a clean slate. From this new leak, we can confirm that the front has more screen than the Galaxy S8 and LG G6. This is the clearest look at the iPhone 8.

Serial leakster Evan Blass (aka @evleaks) is at it again. After showing the Galaxy Note8 in its full glory, he has shared what appears to be a clear image of the upcoming iPhone 8.

As seen here, the display now dominates the entire front leaving enough space to house the earpiece, front camera and sensors. The small display areas on the top left and right corners are sufficient enough to display its mobile signal and battery levels.

The way Apple tries to reduce the bezels is quite similar to the Mi MIX and the Essential Phone. The biggest question left unanswered is where would the fingerprint sensor be? Will Apple succeed in implementing an embedded fingerprint sensor on the display or would they resort to relocating it to the rear like the Galaxy S8? We certainly hope that it’s the former than the latter. So what do you think of this all-screen display? This is probably the biggest change for the iPhone in 10 years. Let us know in the comments below.

In case you’re wondering, the above leak appears to be coming from case maker, UAG. Just take a look at a similar case for the iPhone 7 Plus below.
