ASUS ZenFone 4 passes Malaysia’s SIRIM certification

The ASUS ZenFone 4 is launching very soon and it looks like it won’t take too long for it to arrive in Malaysia. Two new ASUS devices were spotted on our Malaysian SIRIM database which is an indication that ASUS Malaysia is getting ready to push these new devices into our market.

The ASUS ZenFone series is now in its 4th generation and we can expect up to a total of 6 models to arrive in the second half of the year. This includes two versions of the standard ZenFone 4 model, a higher-spec ZenFone 4 Pro, a selfie-centric version, a Max edition with a larger battery and a purported new “V” model that offers a wide-angle secondary lens.

So far it appears that the standard ZenFone 4 models are getting the SIRIM green light for now. In case you’re wondering, both are certified for LTE 850MHz, 900MHz, 1800MHz, 2100MHz, 2300MHz and 2600MHz bands.

The new ZenFone 4 was originally teased for a 21 September launch in Europe but now it is likely that it could be announced as early as August in Taiwan.
