Instant messaging app WhatsApp has achieved a new milestone today. In early 2016, WhatsApp had acquired one billion users on WhatsApp and now they are celebrating one billion active users that rely on WhatsApp daily for communication.
WhatsApp is more than just an SMS replacement for most people. Users use it to share photos, videos and even make audio and video calls on the platform. With a billion active users daily, WhatsApp users are sending a total of 55 billion messages and 4.5 billion photos each day. Videos have caught on as well with a billion videos being shared every day.
WhatsApp is constantly improving with new features while maintaining reliability, simplicity and security that users can count on. Most recently, they have opened up WhatsApp to send any file format and soon you might be able to watch YouTube links and accept video calls without leaving your current chat conversation.
