The Samsung Galaxy Note8 Unpacked event date has been confirmed and it’s taking place in about a month’s time as mentioned by its mobile business chief. This is Samsung’s most important launch as it is the comeback device after its ill-fated Galaxy Note7.
From the teaser image above, we can see Samsung continuing its 18.5:9 Infinity Display which offers more screen with thinner bezels. Samsung promises that the next Note will be the ultimate multitasking device for those who want to do bigger things with their phone.
The Galaxy Note8 launch is taking place on 23 August at 11:00AM EST which is at 11:00PM Malaysian Time on the same day. Like the Galaxy S8 and Note7 before this, the upcoming Samsung Unpacked is happening at New York City. As usual, Samsung Mobile will be providing a live stream for the event.
From what we’ve seen earlier, expect the Galaxy Note8 to be slightly bigger than the current Galaxy S8+ and it comes with a new dual-camera set up at the rear. Performance should be top notch as it is expected to run on its current Exynos 8895 processor with 6GB of RAM, however, the battery is said to be smaller with a modest 3,300mAh capacity. Of course, the S Pen will be one of its key highlights and we expect Samsung to pack more productivity features to make the S Pen even more useful.
Since Malaysia is a key market, expect Samsung to start pre-orders for the Galaxy Note8 in Malaysia shortly after its global debut. Stay tuned to us for the latest updates.
