If all you want from a smartphone is to have it last a long time on a single charge, then ASUS’ ZenFone Max series of devices was the device for you. This year, though, the Taiwanese company has given the new ZenFone 4 Max dual rear cameras.

ASUS‘ brand new smartphone features a massive 5,000 mAh battery inside which should translate to some incredible battery life. Inside, it will be powered by either an octa-core Snapdragon 430 or a quad-core Snapdragon 425 processor. Besides that, this handset will also come with up to 4GB of RAM and either 16GB, 32GB or 64GB of internal storage that’s expandable.

ASUS has kept the 5.5-inch Full HD display from last year’s ZenFone 3 Max which pushes a Full HD resolution of 1920×1080 pixels. In the camera department, the ZenFone 4 Max will feature dual 13-megapixel cameras with a wide 120-degree field of view. There’s also an 8MP selfie shooter up front which can take panoramic selfies.

This new device is a dual-SIM smartphone but doesn’t feature a hybrid SIM slot, which is nice. It will also come running Android 7.0 Nougat. The ZenFone 4 Max will have prices starting from USD235 (around RM1,010) for the base model with the quad-core Snapdragon 425, 2GB of RAM and 16GB of internal storage.

ZenFone 4 Max is the first smartphone from ASUS’ upcoming ZenFone 4 lineup. We initially thought it would be the ASUS ZenFone 4V, but clearly this wasn’t the case.

What do you guys think of the ZenFone 4 Max? Is this budget phone worth your consideration? Let me know in the comments below.
