For those who don’t want to get the HTC U11 outright, Maxis is now offering the squeezable flagship smartphone on contract. Officially priced at RM3,099 in Malaysia, the HTC U11 from Maxis is offered from as low as RM1,499 on standard contract or RM70/month with its Zerolution program.
With Maxis, you have three plan options that are tied to 24-months contract period. Below is the HTC U11 device price on contract with its required upfront payment which will be rebated back to your account over 4 months.
MaxisONE Plan 128 – RM2,099 (RM512)
MaxisONE Plan 158 – RM1,799 (RM623)
MaxisONE Plan 188 – RM1,499 (RM752)
The HTC U11 is also available on Maxis Zerolution program which lets you get the device with no upfront payment required. All you’ll need to pay is the monthly device instalments over 24-months on top of your monthly plan subscription. Below is the monthly Zerolution instalment amount:
If you wish to swap your device for a newer smartphone after 12-months, you would need to add RM44/month for the Zerolution upgrade fee. Since you are required to return the device in good condition, Maxis is also offering a device protection plan at RM23/month.
To recap on the specs, the U11 is HTC’s real flagship for 2017. It gets a 5.5″ Quad HD display and for Malaysia, we are getting 6GB of RAM and 128GB of storage model. If you purchase the HTC U11 from the online store, you’ll be getting a free gift box which comes with a HTC water bottle, notepad and a car charger. On the “RM300 off” banner that’s shown on their site, we are told by Maxis customer service that this isn’t an additional discount but an estimated savings from the full retail price when you get it on contract. That’s quite surprising as you are getting over RM1,500 off from the retail price on MaxisONE Plan 188.
