Apart from announcing new devices and software updates at WWDC 2017, Apple is now offering more iCloud storage for less. If you’ve been struggling with your non-expandable storage on your iPhone and iPad, this is probably good news for you.
Now you can subscribe to 2TB iCloud storage for RM39.90/month instead of its previous price of RM79.90/month. This replaces the 1TB option and existing subscribers that are paying RM39.90/month will be automatically upgraded to 2TB.
Unfortunately, there’s no price revision for its lower storage options. The base option of 50GB is still going for RM3.90/month while 200GB is priced at RM11.90/month. Obviously, you’re getting more GB for your money if you go for its higher-tier plan.
The good news is that Apple will soon offer iCloud family sharing when iOS 11 and macOS High Sierra rolls out. So instead of having individual iCloud subscriptions, you could just take their highest 2TB option and then share that among your family members for better value. If you split that evenly among 4 users, that comes out to just RM9.98/month per person for 500GB of iCloud storage.
If you don’t plan on paying a single sen on iCloud, Apple is still offering just 5GB for free, which simply isn’t enough.
