The monstrous Acer Predator 21 X will be coming to Malaysia soon

Remember that RM50,000 beast of a laptop that we saw back in IFA 2017? The one that only qualifies as a laptop because it barely fits on one’s lap? Yes, it’s the insane, incredible and absolutely awesome monster called the Acer Predator 21 X.

Well, if you’ve been dying to check it out, the good news is that it’s coming to Malaysia very, very soon.

We have received information today that Acer Malaysia will be holding a roadshow showcasing their flagship laptop on the 17th of May 2017 in IOI City Mall. Yep, in just two short weeks you will be able to check this incredible device out with your own two eyes. However, Acer Malaysia has not revealed any pricing information, nor any information on when this laptop will go on sale locally.

For those of you who haven’t heard of this crazy gaming setup by Acer, here are the headlines:

You’ve got a 21-inch ultrawide 2560×1080 Full HD curved monitor that runs at 120Hz with support for NVIDIA’s G-Sync technology for smooth tear-free gaming. Running all your triple A games and everything else you could possibly want to do is an Intel Core i7-7820HK processor and two — yes, TWO — NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1080 graphics cards in SLI.

You also get 64GB of DDR4-2400 memory plus up to four 512GB SSDs in Raid 0 configuration (two of which are NVMe PCIe SSDs). For mass storage, the Predator 21 X is packing a 1TB 7,200 RPM hard drive too.

But that’s not all that makes it special. Keeping everything cool inside are FIVE AeroBlade 3D fans (one of which is proudly displayed in a glass panel) and huge exhaust vents.

It’s also sporting a full individually lit RGB mechanical keyboard that features Cherry MX Brown switches, plus a magnetic numerical keypad that can be flipped over to double as a precision touchpad. Other goodies include Windows Hello and Tobii eye-tracking technology for those times when you want to game with your eyes instead of your mouse.

Of course, laptops this gargantuan aren’t designed to be carried around in your svelte backpack. I mean, unless you don’t mind lugging 8kg around all day. As a result, Acer’s also bundled a massive carrying case, that looks downright military, to hold your precious cargo.

It’s really unfortunate that we don’t know how much this will cost, or when exactly it will go on sale but I can assure you it won’t be cheap. For now, all we can do is wait so keep it locked to our site and we’ll let you in on more details as soon as we find out.

In the meantime, how much do you think this laptop will cost? How much would you pay for it? Let me know in the comments below.
