In case you missed it, the iPhone 6 is now back on sale as Apple’s new entry-level smartphone with a larger 4.7″ screen. New for 2017, it comes with a larger 32GB of storage and it runs on iOS 10 out of the box. If you don’t want to fork out RM1,999 outright, Celcom is now offering the iPhone 6 32GB on contract from as low as RM208.
As expected, Celcom is offering just two plan options with a 24-month contract period. You can get it with FIRST Gold Plus at RM98/month which gives you 40GB of data (20GB all day + 20GB weekend) with unlimited calls and instant messaging (WhatsApp/WeChat) or FIRST Platinum at RM150/month which comes with a whopping 60GB of data (30GB all day + 20GB weekend) plus unlimited calls, SMS and instant messaging (WhatsApp/WeChat).
The subsidised price of the iPhone 6 32GB on Celcom is as follows:
FIRST Gold Plus (RM98/month) – RM588
FIRST Platinum (RM150/month) – RM208
Take note that during sign up, there’s a hefty upfront payment of RM1,000 for FIRST Gold Plus and RM1,500 for FIRST Platinum required registration. This amount will be rebated back to you immediately to offset your future bills. If 40GB or 60GB is too much for a single line, you can always add-on GBShare which lets you add supplementary lines with shared data for RM48/month per line.
To refresh your memory, the iPhone 6 for 2017 only comes in gold and it comes with a 4.7″ Retina HD display. It runs on a 1.4GHz A8 chip with 1GB of RAM along with an 8MP f/2.2 main camera and a front-facing 1.2MP shooter. Powering the iPhone 6 is a 1,810mAh battery and it still comes with a headphone jack.
