At the Mobile World Congress this year, Nokia managed to grab the attention of consumers with the announcement of the Nokia 3, Nokia 5 and the Nokia 6, along with the revamped Nokia 3310. Details are now being rumoured of a top of the line device that could be on sale by the end of this year.
There were quite a number of speculations for some time that Nokia will come out with a premium flagship smartphone to put them back on the market and with big-shots like Samsung and Apple. That very smartphone could be the Nokia 9 that has been the talk of the town. According to a leak report, the specifications seem promising.
The leak suggests that the Nokia 9 will be their first device to feature ‘Nokia OZO Audio’ enhancements (which offers 3D audio experience optimized for headphones and spatial audio playback systems) and will feature a 5.5-inch QHD OLED display. The phone is said to be powered by a Snapdragon 835 chipset with Adreno 540 GPU. It will come with 6GB of RAM and 64GB/128GB of internal storage. It will run on Android 7.1.2 Nougat and a 3,800mAh battery with Qualcomm Quick-Charge 4 support.
Other specs include a 22MP dual-lens Carl-Zeiss rear camera and a 12-megapixel front-facing camera. This smartphone is also said to house a fingerprint scanner as well as an Iris scanner and have IP68 certification for water and dust resistance.
If all falls true, this smartphone may just be a worthy competitor to the Samsung Galaxy S8.
