The iPhone 7 Product RED edition will go on sale in Malaysia starting today at 11:01PM. If you prefer getting it on contract, the special edition red iPhone will be available soon on Maxis.

The red iPhone 7 and iPhone 7 Plus will carry the same official price tag as the normal versions. Similar to the Jet Black edition, you can only get it with either 128GB or 256GB of storage. The RED iPhone 7 is going for RM3,699 (128GB) and RM4,199 (256GB), while the larger iPhone 7 Plus version is going for RM4,299 (128GB) and RM4,799 (256GB).

Once it’s available on Maxis, we expect them to offer it with their Zerolution package which allows you to upgrade your phone every single year with RM0 upfront. Right now, the iPhone 7 128GB on MaxisONE Plan 188 is going for RM145/month, while the iPhone 7 Plus 128GB is going for RM170/month. That’s for the phone instalment, upgrade fee, device protection but without the actual plan subscription.

Alternatively, you could probably get it on a standard contract which we think is a better deal. You can get the iPhone 7 128GB as low as RM2,050 or the Plus version at RM2,550 with a 24-month MaxisONE 188 contract.

The best deal overall is still the current RM500 off promotion which will end this Saturday, 25 March at all authorised resellers such as Switch, Machines, SenHeng and Harvey Norman. An iPhone 7 128GB is now going for only RM3,199 while the iPhone 7 Plus 128GB can be yours for RM3,799. You’re basically getting twice the storage for the same price.
