After dropping clues of the Galaxy S8’s colour options, serial leakster @evleaks had revealed the upcoming a new colour for the upcoming flagship. For those who prefer a colour with more bling, the Galaxy S8 will be available in Gold colour.
This brings the total of colours to four which includes Black Sky, Orchid Grey and Artic Silver. Regardless of what colour you pick, the Galaxy S8 and S8+ will get an all-black appearance which seems to be a popular choice. With its new larger display, the black forehead and chin will do a better job in concealing the borders of the screen while the screen is off.
To recap again, the Galaxy S8 and S8+ will be announced next week on 29 March 2017 at New York City. Both will come with a 5.8″ and 6.2″ Quad HD display respectively with a taller 18:9 display aspect ratio. For our region, it would likely run on their new 10nm Exynos 8895 Octa-Core processor with 4GB RAM and 64GB of storage.
With its new design, the Galaxy S8 will rely on facial/iris recognition for unlocking as the fingerprint sensor is now placed at the back next to its main camera. Another new feature is its Bixby personal assistant which is activated with a push of a dedicated button located at the side.
In terms of camera, the Galaxy S8 would likely retain a 12MP camera with dual-pixel focusing technology but it is said to be upgraded with a newer DRAM stacked sensor capable of shooting 1000fps slow-mo videos.
According to a fresh new leak, the Galaxy S8 and Galaxy S8+ would be using a 3,000mAh and 3,500mAh battery respectively. Those capacities similar to its current Galaxy S7 and the demised Galaxy Note7. According to the new labels, the batteries are made in Korea and assembled in Vietnam by Samsung SDI. Considering the new Galaxy S8 series have a bigger screen, the battery life of these devices might be on par if not better than the S7/S7 edge thanks to its newer 10nm process processor.
So, among the 4 new colours above, which is your favourite?
