These are the colours for the Galaxy S8/S8+

The Samsung Galaxy S8 will be official next Wednesday. As the launch day draws nearer, @evleaks continues to drop more clues for the next big thing. This time, a closer look at the colour options and pricing for the Galaxy S8 and S8+.

As shown above, the Galaxy S8 is said to come in three new colours namely Black Sky, Orchid Grey and Arctic Silver. The Black Sky gets an all black appearance that looks quite glossy from the renders. Meanwhile, Orchid Grey looks like a silver phone with a slight tint of purple while Artic Silver is basically, just silver.

The same goes for the Galaxy S8+ and it’s believed that these are the colours that will be available at launch. Of course, we expect Samsung to release more colours later on. For example, the Galaxy S7 edge was initially released in 4 colours and then it came in Pink Gold, Blue Coral and Black Pearl. Whichever colour you pick, the Galaxy S8 and S8+ will only come with a black front which probably helps to hide the edges of the display better.

In terms of design, the new Galaxy S8/S8+ will get thinner bezels with the screen dominating more space at the front. Looking at the sides, you’ll get a similar symmetrical appearance as the metal frame is placed right in the middle where both curved glass panels meet. You’ll find a volume rocker, a power button and a new button that’s dedicated for its new digital assistant.

@Evleaks has also dropped details on its Euro pricing. The Galaxy S8 is said to be priced at 799 Euro (about RM3,812) while the bigger S8+ cost 100 Euro more (about RM4,289). Of course, it will be much cheaper when it comes to Malaysia. Looking at the past launches, Malaysia has one of the lowest price for Galaxy flagships compared to other markets including Singapore. Expect the new Galaxy S8/S8+ to be priced around the RM3,000-RM3,600 range.

Alongside the flagship duo, Samsung is also expected to introduce their new Gear 360 camera and a refreshed Gear VR heatset which comes with a wireless controller. There’s also something called the DeX, which is Samsung’s new docking station for your PC.
