Huawei Malaysia has just introduced a new colour for the Mate 9 phablet. If the current Champagne Gold and Mocha Brown colours are not your cup of tea, you can now own the Huawei Mate 9 in Obsidian Black.

The Huawei Mate 9 in black has the same specs and retail price tag of RM2,699. You get a 5.9″ Full HD display upfront and it runs on Huawei’s in-house Kirin 960 processor with 4GB RAM and 64GB of storage. Over at the back, it comes with a Leica co-engineered dual-camera (20MP + 12MP) f/2.2 setup that has optical image stabilisation. For selfies, it gets an 8MP f/1.9 shooter upfront.

Powering the Huawei Mate 9 is a 4,000mAh battery which charges quickly via USB Type-C with Huawei’s SuperCharge brick. The Huawei Mate 9 has the option to expand storage via microSD but it takes up the 2nd slot in its hybrid dual-SIM tray. Out of the box, it runs on Android 7.0 with its EMUI 5.0 interface on top.

The Huawei Mate 9 in Black is currently available online on Lazada and Maxis Zerolution postpaid contract. Alternatively, you can pick one up at Huawei’s Experience Stores.
