Samsung’s Galaxy C9 Pro price and launch date are now official

Earlier we spotted a leaked photo of what looked like a dealer event that revealed what was allegedly the price for Samsung‘s brand new smartphone — the Samsung Galaxy C9 Pro. Now, Samsung has officially revealed all the juicy details regarding their big new phone. Here’s what you need to know and when you can buy one.

In their release, Samsung Malaysia confirmed the earlier leaked price, stating that the Galaxy C9 Pro will go on sale for RM2,299. This new phone will be available at Samsung brand stores nationwide beginning the 10th of March 2017.

As a recap, the C9 Pro follows in the footsteps of last year’s Galaxy A9 Pro. The new device features a 6-inch Full HD Super AMOLED display with 2.5D glass layered on top. Inside, this massive phone will be powered by a Qualcomm Snapdragon 653 processor that’s mated to a massive 6GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage. You can expand that storage via a dedicated microSD card for up to 256GB of additional space.

In the camera department, the new phone will sport 16-megapixel f/1.9 aperture cameras on both the front and the back. It will also be a dual-SIM device and will support 4G LTE on both FDD and TDD bands as well as 802.11ac WiFi.

When it comes to build, Samsung decided to go with an all-metal body paired with micro antenna lines for a sleek and clean finish. Inside the metal body sits a large 4,000 mAh battery that charges via USB Type-C. It’s also got support for Samsung’s Adaptive Fast Charging and the company claims that it will be able to hit a full charge in just 100 minutes.

For a better audio experience, Samsung’s Galaxy C9 Pro will sport a pair of stereo speakers that utilise the earpiece and the bottom firing speaker similar to that on the HTC 10 and the Huawei P9 Plus.
