honor 6X to go on sale tomorrow from RM1,199?

The honor 6X is a new mid-range device that was introduced recently at CES 2017. If you follow honor Malaysia’s facebook page, it appears that you could pre-order one as early as tomorrow.

The honor 6X will be available in two spec options – a base model with 3GB RAM and 32GB storage and a higher spec option with 4GB RAM and 64GB storage. According to a dealer listing, the base 3GB RAM model will be going for RM1,199 in Malaysia. That’s a significant increase over the previous honor 5X (RM899) but the new model offers a better processor, build quality and it has more RAM and double the storage.

Like the previous model, the honor 6X gets a 5.5″ Full HD display and under the hood, it runs on a newer 16nm Kirin 655 Octa-Core processor. The key highlight is its dual-camera set up at the rear which consists of a 12MP main camera and a secondary 2MP unit for bokeh effects. The honor 6x gets a unibody metal design that’s much refined than its predecessor. Powering the honor 6X is a larger 3,440mAh battery which is rated to last two days with average use on a single charge. It is currently running on EMUI 4.1 with Android 6.0 Marshmallow but it will be upgradable to the latest EMUI 5.0 with Android 7.0.

We expect honor Malaysia to reveal more details on its full pricing and availability tomorrow. Stay tuned to us for the latest updates.
