Following Uber’s launch in Kuantan a few days ago, Uber Malaysia is now rolling out fixed fares in three more states across the nation.
These three states are Ipoh, Kota Kinabalu and Kuching. With Uber’s fixed fare, riders don’t have to employ complicated math in calculating their ride, nor will they have any kind of bill shock when requesting a ride or when you get stuck in traffic because a driver took a wrong turn. Everything is displayed upfront to help riders make better decisions. It is worth noting that fixed fares only apply to uberX rides.
This fixed fare is calculated based on a variety of factors including Surge pricing, time, distance and traffic using Uber’s existing dynamic pricing formula.
