Is this Nokia’s upcoming flagship Android smartphone?

CES is a time for technological showcase. It’s a show where manufacturers from around the world gather and show off what they’re capable of. Although many of these devices don’t actually go on sale until much later in the year, it’s still really interesting to see these concepts and ideas.

However, a recent video has surfaced on YouTube, allegedly revealing that even Nokia had something on display in CES. And that something is their upcoming Android flagship smartphone, the Nokia 8.

YouTube tech channel Total Tech uploaded two videos that allegedly show the Finnish company’s upcoming flagship smartphone, the Nokia 8, in all its glory. Apparently, the device was on display at the Qualcomm booth at CES, demonstrating Qualcomm’s new Snapdragon 835 processor.

From the looks of things, the handset looks pretty plain except for the massive camera hump in the back. Rumoured specifications for the Nokia 8, codenamed “Supreme”, are as follows:

There will apparently be two variants. The first is the top-of-the-line flagship device with a Snapdragon 835 processor, 6GB of RAM, 64GB or 128GB of internal storage (expandable via MicroSD) and a 24MP rear-facing camera with optical image stabilisation plus the “best electronic image stabilisation to ever be released on a smartphone”. It will also have a 12-megapixel selfie shooter in front with Carl Zeiss optics for the main snapper at the back.

Besides that, there will also allegedly be a lower-spec variant with a Snapdragon 821 processor and 4GB of RAM instead. Other rumoured features include dual front-facing stereo speakers and a Quad HD Super AMOLED display.

After the, frankly disappointing, Nokia 6 we saw launch in China earlier, this upcoming flagship looks like a real return to form for the company…assuming these rumours and leaks turn out to be real.

What do you guys think of the “Nokia 8”?
