Samsung Galaxy S7 edge Black Pearl with 128GB storage is now in Malaysia

Samsung Malaysia has finally released the Galaxy S7 edge Black Pearl edition in our local market. This is the Galaxy S7 edge’s 7th colour which comes with a glossy all-black appearance and dark finishes on its metal frame. In addition to the new colour, the Black Pearl unit also comes with 128GB storage, which is four times the storage of the current 32GB model.

In terms of specs, the Galaxy S7 edge gets a dual-curved 5.5″ Quad HD display and it runs on an Exynos 8890 Octa-Core processor with 4GB of RAM. The 128GB storage is also expandable via microSD through its dual-SIM hybrid slot. Like the standard S7/S7 edge, it gets a 12MP f/1.7 dual-pixel main camera and a front-facing 5MP f/1.7 shooter.

UPDATE: It appears that Samsung Malaysia is offering an in-store promo of RM300 off the RRP while stocks last.

The S7 edge is powered by a 3,600mAh battery which can be charged quickly via its microUSB port. It also supports Samsung Pay (NFC + MST) and has IP68 dust and water resistance. From the listings we’ve seen so far, the Galaxy S7 edge Black Pearl with 128GB storage is officially priced at RM3,399. As a comparison, the 32GB Galaxy S7 edge is still listed at RM3,099.

Both DirectD and SatuGadgetDotCom have started selling the device which comes with official 1-year Samsung Malaysia warranty.
