HTC Malaysia has announced two new smartphones for the holiday season. Announced several months ago, the HTC Desire 10 Pro and HTC One A9s are finally hitting our local market starting 26 December 2016.
HTC Desire 10 Pro
The HTC Desire 10 Pro is their mid-range offering that’s priced at RM1,699. It gets a 5.5″ Full HD IPS display and it runs on a MediaTek Helio P10 processor mated to 4GB of RAM. There’s 64GB of internal storage which can be expanded via microSD up to 2TB.
For imaging, the Desire 10 Pro gets a 20MP f/2.2 camera that’s assisted by Laser AF. Meanwhile, the front gets a 13MP f/2.2 camera that supports panorama selfies. There’s also a fingerprint sensor at the rear and juicing up the device is a 3,000mAh battery that charges via a MicroUSB port.
HTC One A9s
The HTC One A9s is a budget alternative to its former One A9 and it also comes with a smooth metal body. It also has a compact 5″ display but the A9s pushes a lower HD 720p resolution on a Super LCD panel. Under the hood, it runs on a MediaTek Helio P10 processor that comes with 2GB of RAM and 16GB of storage. If you need more, it accepts microSD expansion up to 2TB.
Also included is a 13MP f/2.2 main camera while the front features a 5MP selfie shooter. The camera does have Pro mode along with the support for RAW format. Also retained is a front-mounted fingerprint sensor for quicker unlocking. The battery is bigger than the One A9 but not by a lot with a 2,300mAh capacity unit. The HTC One A9s is officially priced at RM1,159.
