DJI had recently introduced its Inspire 2 drone which comes with two cameras. It looks badass with its tougher construction and the legs are also retractable so it won’t block the camera.
When it was first announced, the DJI Inspire 2 was capable of flying up to 108km/h (67mph) and 0-80km/h (50mph) is done in just 4 seconds. Unfortunately, DJI has to put a cap on those speeds and it’s for a good reason.
As reported by TheVerge, the DJI Inspire 2’s top speed is reduced to 93km/h (58mph) while acceleration from 0-80km/h takes 5 seconds instead of 4 seconds. According to DJI, this speed reduction was necessary to ensure video quality and stability.
After all, the DJI Inspire 2 is a prosumer drone that’s designed to take challenging footages. You can get the drone with an X5S camera which shoots 5.2K (5280×2160) videos at 30fps in CinemaDNG and Apple ProRes formats. It can also shoot 4K footages at 60fps. If you’ve pre-ordered the Inspire 2 and the speed reduction is a huge deal, DJI is allowing refunds as well.
