Sony Xperia XA and XA Ultra gets a price cut in Malaysia

Sony Malaysia has reduced its pricing on two of its Xperia XA series. The Xperia XA which was originally priced at RM1,199 is now going for RM999 while its bigger selfie-centric brother, the XA Ultra is now reduced from RM1,699 to RM1,499.

To recap on the specs, the Xperia XA features a 5.0″ HD 720p display and it runs on a Mediatek Helio P10 processor with 2GB of RAM and 16GB of expandable storage. It gets a 13MP f/2.0 main camera while selfies handled by its 8MP f/2.0 shooter. For battery, it gets a modest 2,300mAh unit which charges via microUSB. The Xperia XA Ultra like its name suggests is a phablet equivalent with a 6.0″ Full HD display. It also runs on a Helio P10 processor but it gets more RAM at 3GB but on-board storage is still 16GB which is expandable via microSD.

The cameras are a notch higher with a 21.5″ Exmor RS main camera while the front selfie shooter is a higher 16MP camera that comes with OIS. Keeping the lights on is a 2,700mAh battery that claims to last for 2 days on a single charge.
