The world’s thinnest laptop, the Acer Swift 7, could be heading our way very soon as we just received an invite from Acer Malaysia to a launch event that’s taking place next month! The title? “So thin, it’s unbelievable”. I mean, what else could it be?
So yes, Acer Malaysia’s next big launch event will be taking place on the 16th of November 2016 and we’re guessing that it’s going to be all about the Swift 7. At least, we’re expecting the world’s thinnest laptop to be the star of the show.
In case you’re unfamiliar, Acer recently unveiled an ultra-thin laptop at IFA 2016 in Berlin. They called it the Swift 7 and it was less than 1cm thick, taking the title of world’s thinnest laptop from the HP Spectre 13.
Spec-wise, it’s got a 13.3-inch Full HD IPS display that isn’t touch sensitive, an 7th Generation Intel Core i5 processor with up to 8GB of RAM and 256GB of internal SSD storage. It also comes with two USB 3.1 Type-C ports.
If you want convertibility and a touch screen, the Swift 7 also has a twin called the Acer Spin 7 which has all of that plus up to a 7th Generation Intel Core i7 processor. It is a little thicker, however, coming in at 10.98mm.
