Samsung Malaysia has just published its full details on its exchange and refund process for Galaxy Note7 owners in Malaysia. This is applicable for both pre-order and replacement units which are to be returned for your own safety.

If you’ve purchased your unit from Samsung, Courts, Senheng and Lazada, you may request for refund or exchange your Note7 beginning next Monday, 17th October onwards. This will take place at your point of collection of your pre-order unit. For those who have purchased their devices from the telcos (Celcom, Digi, Maxis, U Mobile and Yes), you will be contacted directly for further arrangements.

Exchange to S7 edge

For those opting to swap their Galaxy Note7 for a Galaxy S7 edge, you are required to return your device in the original box and bring along a copy of your IC and your bank statement for verification purposes. As there’s a price difference, Samsung will be giving a cash back of RM300 which will be transferred directly into your bank account.

If you’ve purchased any original Samsung accessories for the Galaxy Note7, you can request a refund at the place of purchase. Proof of purchase is required, so you would need to bring your receipt.

Full Refund

To get your money back, the steps are also similar and you’ll also need to bring a copy of your IC and bank statement. Samsung will refund RM2,879.10 which is the special pre-order price directly to your bank account.

If you’ve bought any original Samsung accessory for the Galaxy Note7, you can also request a refund as well. With regards to the free gifts such as the wireless charger and powerbank, theres’s no need to return them as they are complimentary.

For more info, head over to Samsung Malaysia’s Note7 page.
