The new Apple Watch Series 2 will be available in Malaysia next Friday

Need a new smartwatch to pair with your iPhone 7? The latest Apple Watch models will be available in Malaysia a week later on 21st October 2016. This includes the revamped Apple Watch Series 1 and its newer waterproof Series 2 model.

As announced together with the iPhone 7, the Series 2 is the most complete Apple Watch yet. It finally gets waterproofing up to 50 metres and there’s also built-in GPS for better standalone tracking. Readability outdoors is improved with a brighter OLED display which boasts a brightness of 1,000 nits. For better performance, the Series 2 is now powered by a newer S2 dual-core processor.

To make the Apple Watch accessible to all, they have retained the original Apple Watch but it gets updated with a S1P dual-core processor (without GPS). Dubbed as the Series 1, it retains the same specs as the original version which also means it is only splash-resistant and it lacks built-in GPS.

For the new Series 2, they no longer carry the premium gold plated variants for the Apple Watch Edition. Instead, they have introduced a new ceramic white version which claims to be more durable and scratch resistant.

If you don’t mind the original first generation Apple Watch, they are now slashed to as low as RM899 and you get bigger discounts for its more expensive stainless steel editions. Since they have been discontinued, it is available while stocks last.
