#MYCYBERSALE is back for a third year of massive sales

#MYCYBERSALE 2016 kicks off today with offerings from over 600 merchants including our four major local airlines, major pharmacies and even participation from international brands like Levi’s, UNIQLO, Dell, Giordano, Kinokuniya among others. Want a sale? Well, this is Malaysia’s largest online one yet.

This massive sale will be held for 5 days from the 26-30th of September 2016 and will offer a variety of different products from all sorts of companies. In fact, of the 600 participating merchants, 552 of them are locals that make some truly unique products that you’d be hard pressed to find elsewhere.

Even our four local airlines — Malaysia Airlines, AirAsia, FireFly and Malindo Air — and major pharmacies like Watsons and Guardian are offering some sweet deals during the #MYCYBERSALE.

What’s more, the #MYCYBERSALE will also be providing a multitude of payment options such as through providers like iPay88, MOL Pay and MPay, as well as MOL Cash which will allow buyers to pay for their purchases in cash at the nearest 7-Eleven outlet.

There will also be a lucky draw with various prizes worth up to RM36,328. To participate, simply make a purchase of at least RM50 using your credit or debit card from any participating merchant. Then, upload your payment receipt to this web address and you will be in the running.

When it comes to delivery, #MYCYBERSALE will also be utilising same-day door-to-door partners like Zepto Express, MatDespatch and Dego, alongside half-mile fulfilment services through PostCo, Popbox and Inpost. With these half-mile delivery concepts, the customer can have their products delivered to a specified participating location instead of to their home or office. That way, the customer can go and pick the item up personally whenever they’re free.

Besides offering great deals to the general public, #MYCYBERSALE is also the Malaysia Digital Economy Corporation (MDEC)’s initiative to drive the growth of our nation’s eCommerce. According to MDEC CEO Dato’ Yasmin Mahmood, this particular sale has accelerated the adoption of eCommerce among online sellers.

Alongside MDEC, several governmental agencies like the Ministry of Domestic Trade Co-operatives and Consumerism (KPDNKK), the Malaysian Communications and Multimedia Commission (MCMC), CyberSecurity, SMEcorp and MATRADE have also teamed up to help make this event a success.

Last year, #MYCYBERSALE recorded a massive RM117.7 million in Gross Merchandise Volume (GMV), which not only surpassed their initial expectations, but also represented a 75% increase compared to the year before that. For 2016, MDEC are setting their sites on RM200 million in revenue over the five-day period.
