Pokemon Go has taken the world by storm. Gamers everywhere are leaving their incredibly comfortable gaming seats and venturing outside to satisfy their gaming needs, something that hasn’t happened since the arcade days.
Unfortunately, Pokemon Go hasn’t hit our shores just yet, so it can be a little frustrating to watch the rest of the world get a great big head start on their Pokemon adventures.
Don’t worry, though, as Hotlink and Grab are here to give you a helping hand when it eventually does arrive on our shores.
Yes, Hotlink and Grab’s PokeMobile is designed to help ferry you to the nearest PokeStop via the ride-sharing service. According to Hotlink, this service will be available for two days after Pokemon Go officially launches here in Malaysia.
To request a ride to your nearest PokeStop by selecting the PokeMobile button on their GrabApp. The best part is that the ride is free of charge! What’s more, these PokeMobiles aren’t just cars in Charizard colours, they are also equipping each vehicle with refreshments, Grab Goodie Bags, and even a Hotlink Fast 4G widescreen monitor.
What’s more, each PokeMobile will also be packing a Hotlink PokeCharger which is essentially a powerbank shaped like a Pokeball!
To sweeten the deal, PokeMobile riders who are also Hotlink customers will get USD100 worth of PokeCoins via Hotlink Cash for free. That translates to about 14,500 PokeCoins which you can use to purchase a whole bunch of in-game goodies.
Topping it all off, Hotlink customers will also get 10% off their PokeCoins and other in-app purchases via Hotlink Cash Online.
All of this sounds awesome right? Here’s a small catch, there will only be four PokeMobiles and all four will be available only in the Klang Valley area. Also worth noting is that neither Hotlink nor Grab are officially with the Pokemon Company for this promo yet, but they are reaching out to them to make it official.
I guess everyone’s jumping on the Pokemon Go hype train. For more information, visit Maxis and Grab‘s promo pages.
