Not too along ago, @evleaks had shown us clear renders of the upcoming Samsung Galaxy Note7. From the leaks, we can expect a similar design as the current Galaxy S7 edge with the addition of an S-Pen.

As clarified by Samsung, the new Galaxy Note7 is meant to complement to its existing Galaxy S7/S7 edge lineup and we don’t expect them to release a plus version of its S7 edge. For the first time, the new Galaxy Note7 will feature both an S-Pen and a dual curved display with full edge functionality.

Apart from the usual Black, White, Silver and Gold colours, the Galaxy Note7 will also come in a unique Blue Coral which is likely to be the popular option. @evleaks has provided yet another press render, as shown above, which looks pretty good with its contrasting metal frame. Also can be seen is a USB Type-C port, which is a first for a Samsung flagship smartphone. Apart from having the convenience of plugging in a cable in any direction, the new Galaxy Note7 could come with a faster charger that pushes up to 12V.

The placements for the ports including the headphone jack and S-Pen remains unchanged from the previous Galaxy Note5. Hopefully, this time, they would have rectified the design flaw where the S-Pen could get stuck if inserted the wrong way. Since the new Galaxy Note7 uses USB Type-C, Samsung would also need to introduce a newer Gear VR headset that would support the new port.

The Galaxy Note7 will be launching on 2 August at 11PM (Malaysian time). If you haven’t seen it yet, here’s what we expect from the upcoming flagship phablet.
