OPPO F1s, a new selfie expert is coming soon

Despite not having a flagship device, OPPO has been doing rather well with its mid-range smartphones. Following its F1 and F1 Plus smartphones, OPPO is about to introduce its 3rd selfie expert, the OPPO F1s.

At the moment, there are no further details beyond the teaser pic shown above. Judging from their previous R7 series, the new F1s is likely to slot in between the OPPO F1 and its current OPPO F1 Plus. We are guessing it could be a compact “selfie expert” with 4GB of RAM.

Introduced earlier this year, the new OPPO F series focuses on photography with great emphasis on taking great selfies. The base F1 model gets a nice metal back, and they kick it up a notch with a large 16MP selfie camera on the 5.5″ F1 Plus. According to OPPO, the F1 has helped to increase its Q1 2016 shipment by 153.2%, making them the #4 brand globally according to IDC.

In the category of smartphones between US$225-300 (about RM895-1,200), OPPO claims to be #1 in Indonesia and Vietnam while maintaining #2 position for Thailand and Malaysia. According to OPPO VP and Managing Director of International Mobile Business, Mr. Sky Li, the reception for the F1 has been incredible and they have gotten a lot of feedback in order for them to improve on the next device.
