Last year we found out that there was a new smartphone coming from the most unlikely of companies. It was soft drink mega-corporation Pepsi’s very own Phone P1 and P1s. After that initial announcement, however, news of the smartphones fizzled and we didn’t hear from it again.

Until now.

Local grey importer Satu Gadget has decided to bring the sweet Pepsi P1s smartphone into our Malaysian markets for everyone to purchase. Do keep in mind that this is an imported set, however.

The device, which has a 5.5-inch Full HD display, a MediaTek MT6592 processor, 2GB of RAM and 16GB of internal storage, can be yours for only RM499.

It’s also got a 13-megapixel primary camera at the back and a 5-megapixel front-facing selfie snapper. Keeping the lights on is a 3,000 mAh battery. The P1s also supports dual-SIM 4G LTE connectivity and a rear-mounted fingerprint scanner.

At such a low price, could this become a real contender for one of our cap ayam budget smartphones? Let us know what you think of this phone in the comments below!
