Get your kids connected with the MaxisONE Kid QQ Watch Bundle

You probably won’t give your children a phone but here’s something else for them to stay connected. The QQ Watch is a kid friendly smartwatch that can make calls, send messages and even it lets you track them via GPS. Priced outright at RM569, the QQ Watch is now offered by Maxis for only RM38/month.

The QQ Watch is an all rounded connected device. It has WiFi, GPS and GSM for normal voice calls. Since you’ll definitely need a SIM, Maxis is offering the QQ Watch with its MaxisONE Kid postpaid plan that comes with 500MB of data, unlimited calls to 10 numbers (all networks) as well as voice messaging.

With a contract of 12 months, the MaxisONE Kid + QQ Watch bundle costs RM58/month but they are offering it for RM38/month if you are an existing MaxisONE plan customer with at least 1 MaxisONE Share line. That’s a total of RM456 which is cheaper than getting a watch itself.

It is also worth pointing out that the 500MB data will not be shared with the MaxisONE DataPool that’s currently utilised by principal and supplementary line users. The QQ Watch is available at Maxis Centres located at KLCC, Mid Valley, TTDI, Sunway Pyramid. Each Maxis customer is limited to a maximum of 2 MaxisONE Kid lines.

Ready for all situations, the Tencent QQ Watch is also water resistant up to IP65 and there’s also a basic VGA camera to send photos back to their parents. The screen is a 1.2″ 128×128 colour display and navigation is done via physical buttons located at the sides. Apart from basic communication, the watch is also able to track daily steps, check weather forecast and also send alerts if a child crosses a preset safety zone. You can learn more about the watch over at the official product page or check out our photo gallery. If you’re interested, head over to the MaxisONE Kid page for more info.
