iOS 10 public beta is now available for download

During WWDC 2016, Apple dropped iOS 10. It was a massive overhaul with plenty of new features, quality-of-life improvements and some neat visual updates. If you’ve been holding your breath for this new version of iOS to hit your device, you may breathe a sigh of relief as Apple has made the public beta version of iOS 10 available for the public to download.

Set to officially launch with the upcoming iPhone 7 (or whatever it is they plan to call it), iOS 10 brings a host of new improvements including new lock screen notifications, an improved Siri, raise-to-wake, and several app revamps including Apple Music, iMessage and Apple News.

If you want to get your mitts on the public beta version of iOS 10, you can head on over to Apple’s Beta Software Program, sign up with your Apple ID, and register your device. However, if you already have an iOS 9 public beta profile, MacRumours says that you will have to delete them before you can receive the iOS 10 public beta.

Of course, if you’re planning to sign up with your main device, you should keep in mind that this is a beta version of iOS so there might be some instability. That said, in our experience, Apple’s iOS public beta versions have been rather stable and we have not run into many massive issues yet.
