Yes, Apple is still selling 16GB iPhones and yes, these are probably the iPhones that many of you are currently using. Our office has two 16GB iPhones, so we understand your pain and the struggle that you go through every day just to make sure you don’t run out of storage. The good news is, the storage problems associated with a 16GB iPhone could soon be a thing of the past with SanDisk’s brand new iXpand case.
Yup, this new memory iPhone case from SanDisk has built-in flash storage that can expand your smartphone’s internal memory by up to a whopping 128GB of extra storage. The case connects via the Lightning connector and can automatically backup your photos and password protect your files as long as you download the iXpand’s companion app.
In a sense, it works like an OTG flash drive. But the good thing is that you won’t have to carry around an extra flash drive (which could easily get lost) to store all your extra pictures and files.
SanDisk’s case also comes with an optional 1,900 mAh battery pack that you can purchase for an extra USD40 (around RM160). The memory case itself, on the other hand, has prices starting at USD59.99 (around RM240) for the 32GB case. If you want more memory, you can opt for the 64GB or 128GB case too.
But here’s the bad news. First, the iXpand case is currently only compatible with Apple’s iPhone 6 and 6s. Second, the case is currently only being sold on Amazon and does not ship directly to Malaysia.
But, if you own an iPhone 6/6s and simply must have this case (and have the dough to drop on it) there are a whole bunch of package forwarding services that will ship Amazon products to Malaysia. Be warned that you will be doing so at your own risk and we will not be held responsible should anything happen to your product.
If you’re interested in the SanDisk iXpand case, you can check it out on Amazon.com.
