You can buy the OnePlus 3 under RM2,000 in Malaysia

UPDATE: OnePlus 3 is officially priced at RM1,888 in Malaysia.

Want a phone with double the storage and double the RAM of the incoming Xiaomi Mi 5? Perhaps you might want to consider the OnePlus 3 that’s available in Malaysia for less than RM2,000.

As usual, DirectD is bringing the latest devices in record time and the imported OnePlus 3 can be yours at RM1,999 inclusive of GST. As a reference, the OnePlus 3 is officially priced at US$399 which is around RM1,605. Only the graphite version is available and you get a generous 6GB RAM along with 64GB of storage.

Going through the specs, the OnePlus 3 features a 5.5″ Full HD AMOLED display that’s toughen with Gorilla Glass 4. Under the hood, you’ll find a top of the line Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 processor that’s clocked up to 2.2GHz. Like the previous OnePlus 2, it also supports dual-SIM and it has an alert slider which lets you mute or prioritise your notifications with a single flick.

For imaging, it gets a 16MP f/2.0 camera with Sony’s IMX298 sensor which is similar to the Mi 5. For steadier shots, it gets OIS along with EIS for video stabilisation. The main camera also shoots videos at 4K resolution and it also supports RAW format. Meanwhile, selfies are handled by its front 8MP shooter that has a large 1.4-micron pixel size.

Powering the device is a non-removable 3,000mAh battery and it charges quickly using Dash Charge that pushes a higher 5V 4A. While it uses USB Type-C, the port is still USB 2.0. Over at the front, it retains a fingerprint scanner but this time it has been improved for faster response. Out of the box, it runs on a stock-like OxygenOS that’s based on the current Android Marshmallow. For those who can’t wait for the official release, this is your chance to own a real flagship killer for 2016.

According to DirectD’s listing, stocks will be arriving tomorrow, 23 June after 10.00PM. For more info, head over to DirectD’s OnePlus 3 page.
