The ASUS ZenBook 3 is a thinner and more powerful MacBook

ASUS announces their latest ZenBook 3 — a metal-bodied ultrabook that’s thinner than the latest Apple 12-inch retina MacBook and more powerful than the MacBook Air.

Packing up to a powerful Intel Core i7 Processor and up to 16GB of LPDDR3 RAM and up to 1TB of PCIe 3.0 x4 SSD, the ZenBook 3 is no slouch.

What’s more, all of that hardware is packed into a full-metal unibody construction that’s made out of aerospace-grade aluminum alloy. The ZenBook 3 is also incredibly light and slim, weighing in at only 910g with a thickness of only 11.9mm.

According to ASUS, the new ZenBook 3 can last up to 9 hours on a single charge. What’s more, it charges via USB Type-C and has support for fast-charging, giving you a 60% charge in just 49 minutes.

The ZenBook 3 also has an edge-to-edge gold backlit keyboard and the 12.5-inch Full HD display has an incredibly high screen-to-body ratio screen (82%). Its display is also tucked under the protective arm of Corning’s Gorilla Glass 4.

The ZenBook 3 comes in three specifications:

Intel Core i7, 1TB SSD/16GB of RAM (2,133MHz) – USD1,999 (around RM8,234)
Intel Core i7, 512GB SSD/16GB of RAM (2,133MHz) – USD1.499 (around RM6,175)
Intel Core i5, 256GB SSD/8GB of RAM (1,866MHz) – USD999 (around RM4,115)
