MSI pulled the covers off their latest PC that’s designed for the wonderful world of VR gaming. The best part? It’s a backpack.

The thing about VR gaming on something like the HTC Vive is that you will have to keep the long cables connecting the device to your desktop PC in mind when you move around in the virtual/real space.

What MSI has done is built a PC that you can strap to your back like a backpack. It weighs 4.5kg so it’s sort of like carrying a full-fledged gaming notebook on your back.

In terms of size, it doesn’t look particularly big, but its internals are pretty impressive. It’s powered by a mobile Intel Core i7 Extreme series processor and a desktop grade NVIDIA GeForce GTX 980 graphics card.  Even though this is a pretty custom rig, MSI says that the internals will be user-upgradable

You’ve also got plenty of ports on the top of the Backpack PC for you to hook up external monitors and peripherals so you can use this as a regular desktop too.
