One day before Computex 2016 kicks off, ASUS announced three brand new smartphones to add to their ZenFone lineup, the ZenFone 3, ZenFone 3 Deluxe and ZenFone 3 Ultra.
Kicking things off is the new ASUS Zenfone 3. This base model ZenFone comes with a 5.5-inch Full HD display with a Snapdragon 625 processor mated with up to 4GB of RAM and 64GB of internal storage.
In the camera department, the ZenFone 3 will come with a 16-megapixel primary camera and an 8-megapixel selfie shooter. Keeping the lights on is a 3,000 mAh battery that will charge via USB Type C. It’s also got a fingerprint reader mounted on the back.
ASUS’ ZenFone 3 will retail at USD249 (around RM1,024).
Next, we have the new flagship-level smartphone from ASUS, the ZenFone 3 Deluxe. Inside the 5.7-inch smartphone with a Full HD SuperAMOLED display sits a flagship-level Snapdragon 820 processor mated to a whopping 6GB of RAM and 128GB of UFS2.0 internal storage. Those are some monstrous specifications even by flagship smartphone standards.
When it comes to camera optics, the ZenFone 3 Deluxe will get a 23-megapixel primary camera with ASUS’ PixelMaster 3.0 technology which is designed to take low light shots. It’s also assisted by a combination of a laser autofocus system and PDAF for focusing speeds of only 0.3 seconds. The camera is protected by a Sapphire Crystal glass.
This smartphone also comes with an ultra-thin 1.3mm bezel with a large 79% screen-to-body ratio and a think 4.2mm edge profile.
The ZenFone 3 Deluxe will be priced at USD499 (around RM2,052).
Rounding up the trio is the massive ZenFone 3 Ultra phablet. Coming in at 6.8 inches, the ZenFone 3 Ultra has a 1080p Full HD display, a 23-megapixel camera, a large 4,600 mAh battery with support for quick-charge 3.0 and a Powerbank Mode.
Inside, it’s powered by a Snapdragon 652 processor with up to 4GB of RAM. Designed to be a media/entertainment hybrid device between a tablet and a phone, the ZenFone 3 Ultra comes with dual-stereo speakers, Hi-Res Audio, and DTS headphones.
This smartphone will be priced at USD479 (around RM1,970).
