AnTuTu outs Samsung’s Galaxy S7 specsheet

In the madness of rumours that have been flying everywhere, there’s one thing that’s certain. We’re all dying to know the specs of Samsung’s latest flagship. Most of them have one thing in common, they all say that it’ll be either an Exynos 8890 or Snapdragon 820 processor under their hoods.

Benchmark experts AnTuTu have reaffirmed that they’ll indeed be an Exynos 8890 in at least one variant of the Galaxy S7 as well as its accompanying specs.

In a post on Weibo, the people behind the app have let the cat out of the bag. They posted that the SM-G930F – corresponding to a the non-edge version of the Galaxy S7 – will have 4GB of RAM and a rather decent 64GB of internal storage. Imagine having that much storage plus a potential (rumoured) microSD card slot? Malaysians are gonna lap this up.

Other internals were also detailed, like a 5.1-inch 2560 x 1440 resolution AMOLED display and a 12-megapixel rear lens. Despite there being fewer pixels on the main camera, it’s easily suggested that they’ll be using larger sensors as detailed during their BRITECELL technology showcase. On the front, it looks like a 5-megapixel sensor, possibly with the same BRITECELL tech.

You won’t have to wait that long to hear more stuff on the new Samsung flagships, fortunately, MWC 2016 is happening in a month and there’s bound to be more leaks till then.

In spite of AuTuTu being a benchmarking app, the makers have yet to publish “official” scores of the device. They claimed that it’s an early prototype and the results won’t do the device justice. At least, they said they might do it later, once the phone’s performance is more stable.
