Huawei’s Nexus device tipped to have Snapdragon 820, fingerprint scanner and 5.7 inch QHD display

We’ve already heard that Google’s latest Nexus device is in the works, with the company already having produced multiple Nexus devices with the likes of HTC, Samsung, LG and Motorola. The latest one has Google working with Huawei and Twitter tipster @evleaks has dropped some hints on whats to come on the device.

The new Nexus apparently will be home to a 5.7 inch QHD display as well as a Qualcomm Snapdragon 820 SoC with custom Kyro cores. Externally, the device will have a metal body and a fingerprint scanner, though it hasn’t been confirmed yet if it will be a metal unibody.

The fingerprint scanner isn’t too big of a surprise considering Android M does have native support for the tech, not to mention they are becoming increasingly popular on some flagship smartphones. Signs are pointing towards a rather premium build, what with the high-res screen and powerful processor.

The device is rumoured to be hitting the market sometime in Q4 so we’ve got quite some time yet for more information about this Huawei made Nexus phone to appear, but so far it’s looking quite promising.
