Microsoft Lumia 640 XL with 4G LTE and Nokia 105 Dual SIM feature phone now available in Malaysia

The Microsoft Lumia 640 XL was launched locally a few months ago but it came with a dual-SIM variant that supports up to 3G only. If faster connectivity is a priority, Microsoft Malaysia has announced the arrival of its Lumia 640 XL LTE version with a retail price of RM999. That’s RM70 more than the dual-SIM 3G version.

The Lumia 640 XL LTE is Microsoft’s mid-range Windows Phone 8 device. It gets a 5.7″ screen that pushes HD 720p resolution and it is protected with Gorilla Glass 3. Powering the device is a 1.2GHz Quad-Core Snapdragon 400 processor with 1GB RAM and it also comes with 8GB of storage that supports microSD card expansion up to 128GB.

For imaging, it gets a 13MP main camera that shoots 1080p videos at 30fps while the front gets a wide angle 5MP camera. Being a phablet, it gets a 3,000mAh removable battery. It currently runs on Windows Phone 8.1 but it will be upgradable to Windows 10 once it is available.

Nokia 105 Dual SIM

For those needing just the bare necessities of communication, the Nokia 105 feature phone with Dual-SIM is also available in Malaysia for just RM89. Being an affordable device, it still gets a couple of creature comfort features such as FM radio and a built-in LED torch light.

The Nokia 105 Dual-SIM gets a 1.4″ colour display at 128×128 pixels resolution and it has enough memory to store 2,000 contacts. With its basic features and a 800mAh capacity battery, it is rated to last up to 25 days on standby and 15 hours of talk time on 2G network.
