Mi Malaysia has just announced that the Redmi 2 is having its price cut from RM 449 to RM 399.
Launched earlier this year in March, the phone is now going to be RM 50 cheaper compared to its initial launch price, making their cheapest smartphone even cheaper.
To recap on the specs, the Redmi 2 is Xiaomi’s first device to sport a 64-bit processor and 4G dual-SIM. Under the hood it has the aforementioned 64-bit quad core Snapdragon 410 processor mated to 1GB RAM and 8GB storage expandable up to 32GB.
The display on the other hand is 4.7 inch 1280 x 720p HD screen at 312 ppi. It also has 4G Dual SIM support, a 8 megapixel rear and 2 megapixel front camera combo as well as a 2,200mAh battery with Quick Charge 1.0.
The Redmi 2 will be available for RM 399 starting today at Mi.com, and there will be a further RM 50 discount if you purchase the phone with PayPal during the Jom Raya Dengan Mi which ends on the 8th of July.
